This little fellow's quite something, not only can he fly, he can also spin his head right round. You never know when that trick will come in handy.
Believed to date back to the late 1940's, this handcrafted baby pilot mobile, made from wood and stainless steel, really is a very special vintage piece.
Designed as a mobile (metal hook), presumably for a child's room, it would look equally striking on display anywhere in your home.
The paint is worn in places, and could do with a good clean, but overall, this find is in good condition for its age. It's a shame that someone had a bit of a heavy hand painting round the baby's chin though, otherwise it would have been perfect! (wouldn't be noticeable on profile or if hung up in the air)
Wood plane, stainless steel wings and propellers (one is looser than other).
The plane measures 41.5 cm L, 32 cm W, 10.5 cm H.

Seeing is believing! The colours in this 1950 / 60's French school poster are vibrant and fresh, almost as new, in fact. It seems hard to believe that it was once on display in a classroom.
The edges are a little worn, with a few small tears, but they wouldn't show in a frame. Other than that, this vintage French educational poster by Hélène Poirier is in good, clean condition and would look lovely in a child's room or anywhere else in your home.
We love the pops of red against the pastel background in this charming family scene.
The poster measures 53 x 75 cm.

We think this vintage French teaching aid will look striking in your home, all year round.
Part of the "Je Veux Lire" collection published by Hachette / Rossignol in the late 60's, this one-sided flashcard was used to teach French children the "ier"sound in "panier" (basket).
The card has pinholes and is in reasonable condition for its age.
It measures 20 x 23.5 cm.

The pretty lady may have lost a teeny tiny bit of her painted hair but that's barely noticeable when you pop on her wooden egg hat!
We love vintage wooden eggcups and when they come from Japan and double up as a salt & pepper pot set we love it even more!
Both salt & pepper eggs (five holes in each) have their stoppers but the cream egg has a paint chip (see photo).
For play and display, on a shelf in your kitchen or in a child's room perhaps?
The wooden eggcups stand 8 cm tall without the eggs and 12.5 cm with.

A while ago we came across a set of vintage Ralston Purina flashcards featuring a few of William H. Danforth's famous Monday morning motivational messages. We think they're perfect for a teenager's room, but you might be tempted to buy one for yourself.
There is no indication of age but barring a few drawing pin holes and some yellowing, this large, one-sided card is in very good condition.
